The Qibla Cola Company, today announced its move to new premises at the iD centre, RTC Business Park Derby. The offices are a marked difference from its humble beginnings on Normanton Rd, an inner city area of Derby. Abid Hussain, Qibla Cola's spokesperson, said 'We have seen rapid growth and needed more space and an increased functional layout. These offices are perfect, offering not only more space but dedicated conference rooms, broadband and video conferencing facilities' The iD centre is managed by the University of Derby and helps nurture the growth and development of young businesses. 'The new offices create a lively, interactive atmosphere.' Abid said. 'Being surrounded by other young and dynamic companies affords us an incredible opportunity to build links and exchange ideas.' Established in January 2003, Qibla Cola was formed to demonstrate that businesses can succeed using an ethical business model as opposed to purely profit driven practices. It pledges to donate 10% of profits to good causes in local communities where it operates. Qibla is now distributing in Canada, Netherlands, Norway and Pakistan with Australia, Libya and Malaysia to follow soon. Products of the company are available from retailers throughout the UK.
