QIBLA COLA COMPANY DONATES TO MUSLIM AID'S BANGLADESH APPEAL

The UK based Qibla Cola, this years winners of the Department of Trade and Industry's Innovation Award, has donated £1500 to Muslim Aid towards their Bangladesh Appeal.

'Qibla Cola is very careful about the charity organisations it works with, as it wants to ensure that any donations are spent as effectively as possible. Muslim Aid is one of the most capable charities working in Bangladesh and we are very glad to help.' commented Abid Hussain, spokesperson for Qibla Cola.

Established in January 2003, Qibla Cola was formed to demonstrate that businesses seeking to build global brands can succeed using an ethical business model as opposed to purely profit driven practices. Qibla Cola pledges 10% net profit to good causes in each country its products are distributed.

Abid Hussain said 'We are growing rapidly and there has been huge interest in our premium product range and how we do business ethically. Qibla Cola will be launching in Bangladesh early next year and 10% of the profits from Bangladesh will be invested into good causes within Bangladesh. Qibla has also commenced distribution in Canada, Netherlands, Norway and Pakistan with Australia, Malaysia and India to follow soon.'
