Local soft drinks company, Qibla Cola, will be attending this year’s Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair, to be held at Bolsover Castle, on 22nd to 23rd May 2004.

Qibla, meaning direction, was set up in January 2003 and is a Derby-based company founded by a local businesswoman, Zahida Parveen. Zahida’s idea of alternative soft drinks with a strong ethical stance, was founded upon the realisation that many multi-nationals were associated with supporting unjust causes.

The full range of products, produced by the soft drinks company will be available on the day, CEO, Mohammed Haider said, 'The Qibla Cola Company is here to provide all people of conscience with an alternate brand of popular soft drinks – a real alternative. Consumers appreciate the way Qibla Cola products taste and look whilst knowing that their money will contribute to worthy causes'

Products of the Qibla Cola Company are available from retailers throughout the UK. The firm has also expanded distribution into Canada, the Netherlands, Norway and Pakistan with more countries to follow soon.

The company gives 10% of all profits made to good causes to charities working in health, education and medical research locally in each country the products are sold.
